Anna Lee Iijima

Anna Lee Iijima is a New York-based freelance journalist and wine critic who uncovers the stories behind every glass of wine (saké, shochu and other beverages too).

For over 13 years, she was a contributing editor and reviewer for Wine Enthusiast Magazine covering wines from the Rhône Valley, Burgundy, Germany and New York State. She contributes regularly to the Chicago Tribune, the Philadelphia Inquirer, Food & Wine and other publications.

Iijima is a recipient of the WSET Level 4 Diploma and studied as a Stage 2 student with the Institute of Masters of Wine. She is a frequent judge at international wine and saké competitions including the International Wine Challenge in London. In a past life, she was a corporate attorney.
