Laura Baddish is a seasoned strategist, businesswoman and leader Laura struck out on her own and founded the eponymous BADDISH GROUP in 2000 and continues on as agency’s CEO and primary client contact. Renowned for her innovative program development and strategic partnerships, Laura and her team create award-winning communications strategies, with integrated public relations programs and marketing programs that center on pioneering promotions and attention-grabbing special events that are a result of her keen understanding of, and as authority on, the epicurean lifestyle sector: food, wine, spirits, cookbooks, cookware, cooking accessories and culinary tourism.
Prior to THE BADDISH GROUP Laura spent a decade as the division Director of Public Relations for The Alden Group. While there she managed the day-to-day operations and oversaw B2C and B2B client services for the PR arm of the advertising agency. Her other past experience also included serving as the Director of Special Events at Booke and Company, and Event Manager at Macy’s New York where she managed and directed the world famous Thanksgiving Parade as well as the annual Fireworks Spectacular and Easter Egg Roll at The White House.
Her professional affiliations include memberships in: New York Women’s Culinary Alliance, The International Association of Culinary Professionals, The James Beard Foundation, National Association of Women’s Chefs and Restaurateurs, National Association of Catering Executives and PRSA— Public Relations Society of America.
As a recognized expert in her field, Laura has taught public relations at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), Tobe Coburn Institute and New York University’s School of Food and Nutrition.
A native New Yorker who grew up in the borough of Brooklyn, she holds a B.A., in Communications from Brooklyn College.
