Danny Brager, Senior Vice President, Nielsen Beverage Alcohol Practice
Danny Brager is the Senior Vice President of Nielsen’s Beverage Alcohol Practice Area in the United States, supporting relationships with Nielsen’s many Beer, Wine, and Spirits clients, as well as with key industry groups and the media. In this role, Danny and his team supports the differentiated needs of Nielsen’s Beverage Alcohol clients, and provides business information, analysis and insights, focusing on the U.S. retail environment and consumer/shopper – who they are, what they buy, and why.
Danny has well over fifteen years of experience specific to the Bev Al industry, and for the past 30 plus years has held a variety of marketing and sales positions with Nielsen in both Canada and the United States. He is a frequent speaker at many client and industry events on the subject of Beverage Alcohol retail and consumer trends.
Danny holds an Honors Bachelor of Business Administration from York University in Toronto, Canada. After residing in Western Canada for most of his early years, and then moving to Toronto, he then relocated to Southern California in the mid-1990’s, where he still lives.
Danelle Kosmal, Vice President, Nielsen Beverage Alcohol Practice
As Vice President of Nielsen’s Beverage Alcohol Practice, Danelle provides industry thought leadership and best practice solutions to beer, wine, and spirits clients, industry groups, and the media. She is committed to leveraging Nielsen’s breadth of resources to provide an integrated and holistic understanding of consumer behavior and retail trends across beer, wine, and spirits. Danelle has 20+ years of marketing experience, and has been with Nielsen for 15 years. She has experience working across various clients in the food, beverage, and consumer goods industries, with the past 8 years focused on Alcohol. Prior to joining the Beverage Alcohol Practice, Danelle led Nielsen’s business at MillerCoors in Chicago. Danelle received her MBA from the University of Pittsburgh, and her BA in International Studies and Economics from Allegheny College in Pennsylvania.
Eric Reller, Chief of Strategic Initiatives, Distilled Spirits Council of the United States
Eric is a veteran communicator focusing on policy, advocacy, and strategy with more than 15 years of experience across several national trade associations.
In his current role, he leads on emerging issues that intersect commercial and responsibility objectives to ensure coordinated and consistent positions are adopted and associated strategies are implemented.
He has previously led campaigns to achieve fair taxation and sensible regulatory policy at the local, state, federal and international level for organizations including the National Federation of Independent Business, the American Hotel & Lodging Association and the American Trucking Associations, in addition to DISCUS.
Simon Wilkinson, US Operations Manager, Broadland Drinks Ltd.
Simon leads Broadland Drinks operations in the US. focusing on supply chain and building distribution relationships. Playing a key role in Broadland’s US growth from inception to national distribution of brands and private label, having recent success with over 100,000 unit wine advent calendar program, by spearheading the project management and distribution teams.
Simon has a wealth of operational experience within the International wine industry, most notably part of the successful start-up of a wine bottling facility, a joint venture that Broadland executed with one of the UK largest retailers.
Broadland Drinks brands available in the US include Waipapa Bay – multi award winning New Zealand wines and Proudly Vegan which is 100% vegan right down to the ink and glue on the labels.
John Beaudette, President, MHW, Ltd.
John Beaudette has been active in the beverage alcohol industry for over 35 years. Since 1995, Mr. Beaudette has been President of MHW Ltd., a national beverage alcohol import, distribution, and service company located in Manhasset, New York. MHW provides US import and distribution services to wineries, breweries, and distilleries throughout the world.
From 1985 to 1994, Mr. Beaudette worked with PepsiCo Inc. and its affiliate company Monsieur Henri Wines in the distribution of Stolichnaya™ Vodka and other wine and spirit brands. During this period, Mr. Beaudette held positions such as Director of Planning for PepsiCo Wines & Spirits Intl. and V. P. of Finance & CFO of Monsieur Henri Wines Ltd. Prior to joining PepsiCo, Mr. Beaudette was Manager of Accounting for Somerset Importers Ltd., US importers of Tanqueray™ and Johnnie Walker™ and other spirit brands.
He currently sits on the Board of Directors of The National Association of Beverage Importers Inc. (NABI) in Washington DC and is a former Chairman of the organization. He also serves on the Board of Directors of The Distilled Spirits Council of the United States (DISCUS) in Washington DC.
Mr. Beaudette is a frequent speaker and lecturer at beverage alcohol events around the world. He holds a BS degree in Accounting from Villanova University and passed the Certified Public Accountant exam in New York.
